Town Center Village Board members are elected to two year terms by the members of the Town Center Community Association. The Village Board meets at Historic Oakland each month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The Architectural Committee meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays each month, during the Village Board meeting. All residents are welcome.
Duties and responsibilities of Village Board Members:
- Attend two Board meetings monthly.
- Hire a Village Manager who oversees daily operations.
- Oversee village finances and approves the budget.
- Serve on the Architectural Committee which meets at Village Board meetings.
- Ensure that the village architectural covenants are enforced.
- Liaison with the Columbia Association, the nine other community associations, and the county and state governments.
- Keep Town Center residents informed.
- Promote the health, safety, and social well-being of the residents.
